A self-serve kiosk for gyms that dispenses custom-mixed nutrition and energy drinks on demand — think a Coke Freestyle machine, but for pre-workout, protein, and recovery supplements instead of soda.
The user flow
Attract screen — "Fuel Your Workout," tap to start. Sells the concept fast with three value props: rapid energy, clean ingredients, contactless pay.
Safety screening — Before anything else, the kiosk collects height/weight and asks two gating health questions (heart condition/blood pressure, recent caffeine intake). This is a smart, non-obvious touch — it treats the machine like it's actually dispensing a stimulant product, not candy.
Safety & usage info — A dedicated screen covering supplement safety (daily caffeine caps), physical machine safety (hot liquid, dispensing door), and allergy/cross-contamination disclosures. Again, unusually thorough for a prototype — shows real thought about liability and duty of care.
Drink builder — Two paths: pre-set "Pro Recipes" (Max Pump, Zero Carb Burn, Recovery Pro) or "Build Your Own" in three steps:
Base — water, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut water, each with calorie/benefit callouts
Boosters — caffeine, creatine, BCAAs, beta-alanine, B12, each dosed and labeled with its effect
Flavor — blue raspberry, tropical punch, green apple, watermelon, lemon-lime
A "Live Formula" panel updates calories and caffeine mg in real time as choices are made — good feedback loop.
Size selection — Standard/Turbo/Max (16–32oz), with a live "energy matrix" showing total calories and caffeine for the final size.
Checkout — Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap-to-pay, or scan-to-pay via gym/bank app.
Dispensing — Status screen (mixing → chilling → dispensing) with an ETA, plus an option to save the recipe to a FitFuel app profile for next time.
Product detail modal — Each pro recipe has a full nutrition-facts-style panel (ingredients, macros, caffeine content, allergen warning) — like a supplement label.
There's also a session timer/cancel-session pattern running throughout, so an idle or abandoned kiosk session doesn't just hang.
